| REIGN BEHIND THE CURTAIN • After the Yuanming Imperial Palace is burnt down and destroyed, the indulgent emperor xianfeng flees and leaves the Ching Dynasty in ruins. A power struggle ensues, led by Empress Dowager Cixi and her newly enthroned six year old emperor. The prequel, Burning of the Imperial Palace, is also being presented in this festival.
